History

International Village Development, Inc. was created in 1966 by Thomas Eric Tenu (Originally from Ghana, West Africa) to address issues that plague village communities worldwide.

Mr. Thomas left the village a long time ago to come to America in the pursuit of a better life and greater opportunities.

Eric returned to the village in 1995, after he had departed there for over 30 years and was stunned at the desolation, rampant hunger/poverty and disease coupled with lack of proper education, that he witnessed.

Leaving to come to America has not only changed his life, but 30 years later he created International Village Development to give others the same opportunities to extend the hand of hope, believing:

Alone we can do so little,  but together we can do so much
